Seb el Zin, composer-musician-producer of the band ITHAK and founding member of Anarchist Republic of Bzzz is back with a new solo album: "Grand Bazar".
Who said globalization would bring along uniformity ?! Seb el Zin's latest cyber-oriental album proves the opposite: for our greatest joy the differences aren't ready yet to dissolve themselves within the outstanding seamless whole.
Grand Bazaar provides a sound straight from the future evoking the fantasy of the Ottoman East, sumptuous and sensual like the time-engraved Byzantium.
The cyber-punk and cold-electro accents of this tribal-futuristic creation accomplish the salutary turn of grace of offering a modern European sonic identity proudly integrating its latest oriental contributions.
For this artist, "Music is Politics": started during the Gezi Park riots in Istanbul, Seb el Zin's new album embodies the progressive rage of a youth holding on to its roots but without borders nor boundaries.

Seb el Zin, musicien compositeur, producteur du groupe ITHAK et membre fondateur d'Anarchist Republic of Bzzz nous livre un nouvel album, cette fois ci en solo … « Grand Bazar ».
Qui a dit que la mondialisation se ferait dans l’uniformité identitaire ?! Grand Bazar, le dernier album cyber-oriental de Seb el Zin prouve le contraire : pour notre plus grande joie les différences ne sont pas prêtes à se dissoudre dans un grand gris collectif.
Grand Bazar : un son venu du futur bien qu'évoquant la réminiscence d’un Orient ottoman, somptueux et sensuel comme la Byzance qui gît dans nos mémoires.
En écoutant cet album, nous sommes bien au-delà des fusions novices électro-world . Les accents cyber-punk et cold-électro de cette création tribal-futuriste accomplissent le salutaire tour de grâce de faire émerger une identité sonore européenne moderne et fière de son apport oriental .
Pour cet artiste, "Music is Politics": (nous sommes ainsi face à une oeuvre musicale qui ne se résume pas à du design sonore.) Amorcé au sein des émeutes de Gezi Park à Istanbul, le nouvel album de Seb el Zin incarne la rage progressiste d’une jeunesse avec des racines mais sans frontières.
